We had a long trip to the capital leaving at 10 o’clock and arriving around 7 o’clock . We then stayed at a freedom camping site by the dock for the night. And this morning we have moved to another site right in the heart of the city and have visited the amazing Te Papa and Cabble Cars🚃Read more

We are officially in the South Island👍 Yesterday we slipped in a tour on the famous Beehive which was very informative and well worth it. Next we tried our luck at getting over on the ferry although we were booked for the next day there was meant to be rough seas today. And thankfully managed to get on 🙏🏻 We have now woken up to a breath taking view of the Hope Ranges.Read more

Glacier Walks

Stopped off at the small but cute town of Franz Joseff where we stayed a very quiet night at a MZMCA camp🏕 Then we were up early in the morning to go to the glacier. We got a guided tour up and learned about some of the edible and poisonous plants along the way. The Franz Joseff Glacier (although not as big as fox) was stunning ,aparently it moves a meter a day either back or forth.Read more

Fruit , Towns and Puzzle World

We started off our second morning in Wanaka after having a relaxing day by the lake yesterday. We headed to Puzzling World where there were fun and interesting illusions and a cool maze. Secondly we found a small part of Cornwell where the buildings were in their original form and very old. Our last pit stop was to the stone fruit capital, Roxburgh, where we bought a feast of fruit and so cheap.Read more
