We left Roppenheim early (well early for me) and went back towards the Rhine.
Goodbye France

So we said Goodbye to France as we crossed river back to Germany...then to ride on flood dykes in to Karlsruhe

Arrived before lunch after a short 43km ride...
We reunited with Illy (yey!)
Sheril put her bike in the shop to get fixed
We did a puzzle room (it was great)

another city, another light show

So we were treated to another awesome light show this time on the Karlsruhe castle (schloss). Twas pretty cool!

So all six (hooray!) had early start and went on our way, passing the castle and on to see our friend the Rhine...
Easy paths to follow again today

Crossed river at leimersheim and head on to Speyer
technik museum

So we spent bit of time looking around Speyer Technik Museum...
Lots of engines, cars, trains, planes, tractors, boats, spacecraft... Pretty cool (but actually it was very hot today)
Otterstadt

Then rode to stay in Otterstadt....
We did 60km today
Rest day in Otterstadt

Relaxing day off the bikes, with slow start and then visiting the local lake for swim and games in arvo
So I did some math today... and my total kms stands at 729km (over half way!)

So all 6 set out from Otterstadt up the river though we were next to dykes and through forests for first portion of ride.
We crossed the river at Altrip by ferry
on to Manneheim

We crossed the river again by bridge at Mannheim
So we got caught up in some epic roadworks around BASF plant in Ludwigshafen (the plant being really more like a mini city, and I probably should ofLue lisää
to Worms

Anyhoo we made it to Worms and enjoyed the arvo there...

So we staying in Russelsheim... (In a weird little apartment)
There is a conference on in Frankfurt that has taken all the accommodation in a 35km radius

So last night wasnt great...
I think we can safely say that will be our most expensive but easily the crappiest accommodation for our trip...

We crossed the river to Bingen (by ferry), and we entered in to a world of castles at every new bend and turn..

Then on to Sankt Goar...
We did 68kms today...
The others were not far behind... (Sherelle had a flat today)
Our accommodation has very adequate air flow so all are happy.

After a late start, we then dropped our bikes off for service and caught the train up the hill to visit the castle.

We got a couple of kms out and Berns bike continued making its funny clunking noise, so the Parrotts headed back with Bern (to see Richard the bike shop guy),Lue lisää

So we continued cycling on a lovely path up river, on to Koblenz...
Here we saw where the Rhine and Mosel Rivers join
