Tag 2 - Fahrt nach La Digue

Nach dem Frühstück (die Melone war leider enttäuschend) fuhr mich Alain der Taxifahrer an den Hafen. Das Gepäck wurde eingecheckt und schon begann das Boarding der Cat Cocos-Fähre. Die Fahrt dauerte, mit Zwischenstopp an der Insel Praslin, ca. eineinhalb Stunden und war nichts für Menschen mit schwachem Magen. Auf La Digue angekommen, lief ich durch den verregneten Hauptort der Insel, La Passe, zu meiner Unterkunft: einem kleinen Bungalow in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße.

After breakfast (the melon was disappointing, unfortunately), Alain the taxi driver drove me to the harbour. The luggage was checked in and boarding for the Cat Cocos ferry began. The journey took about an hour and a half, with a stopover on the island of Praslin, and was not for the faint-hearted.
