    Hawaiian language class was great. I had no idea that they weren't allowed to speak Hawaiian for almost 100 years. I love learning all of this so that I can understand my Hawaiian friend Jaime 😂

    Aloha = face breath
    May day = lei day (wear color of the island and lei of island)
    Pipi = cow / beef
    Pupu = hors d'ouvres / shells
    Lua = toilet
    Hauli = no breath / foreigner
    If you pick the lehua flower, it is supposed to rain.
    Kane = man
    Wahine = woman

    Poi - make fresh, rice or potatoes, does not spoil. Elders like it sour.
