Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue, Vietnam

Pagodas are quickly becoming one of my favourite places to visit; the locations are always spectacular, the gardens and shrines serene to wander around, surrounded by beautiful buildings, and free as well!

Thien Mu Pagoda was extra poignant as it also housed the car that Thích Quảng Đức drove to the scene of his famous protest in 1963 when he burned himself to death in Saigon - also immediately becoming an iconic image, and sparking a turning point in history.Read more
