Bat Cave, Battambang, Cambodia

After returning down from the mountain we were able to have a drink with some locals, chat more with our tuk tuk driver... and then witness millions of bats flying out of their cave!

They streamed out in an orderly queue, the cloud getting darker as we stood there watching. They curved around the carved Buddha on the side of the hill, then flew into the night in mumurations. We watched for almost 20 minutes in amazement, and bats were still emerging from the cave while we headed back in our tuk tuk.Read more
