    Penang Botanical Gardens, Georgetown

    February 8 in Malaysia ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

We visited the Botanical Gardens twice as we enjoyed strolling around the park in the morning so much. Locals were also enjoying the park, mostly using the lower temperatures to exercise though!

The first morning we enjoyed watching some birds in the trees, saw some local dogs wandering around, a couple of small monitor lizards feeding, and the usual macaque monkeys that hang around areas human may feed them (despite the many signs saying not to!).

The second morning we went we were delighted to get to see dusky langur monkeys feeding on tree blossoms, although close to us they weren't bothered by our presence, or tried to mug us!

We thought we were lucky to see them high in the trees, but we were ecstatic when they settled on a tree right above the seating area near the lotus pond where we were sitting. They had an absolute feast from the tree, moving around and causing leaves, branches, and tree blossoms to fall around us as we watched in amazement.
