Matsumoto Castle, Matsumoto, Japan

Wow wow wow! This castle was stunning 😍

With the moat partially surrounded it, the trees in the distance, and the snow capped mountains on the skyline this was a place both luke and I fell in love with almost instantly. The whole feel of the place was very serene too, and after we explored the castle we sat outside enjoying a cold drink and ice cream in the midday sun.

The castle was beautifully built too, and on the inside you were surrounded by wood all around. You were able to get to the top (on some very steep stairs!) to see the view too - which was stunning. You can definitely appreciate why it was a good place for a castle!Read more
