Angkor Wat at dawn

Up at 0400 for a 0500 departure in tuk tuks, so dark and relatively cool, about 24C I think. Because it was early the roads were quite quiet. The dawn was good but not initially impressive, but as the sun became visible it was pretty good. Our guide was very good, and certainly knows the history behind the site. Afterwards we tried a few local delicacies, like frogs legs, palm heart, and some rice balls with coconut. Very touristy, but all ok. Back about 1300....Read more
