Travelling to Akita

After a final very tasty and very early breakfast I said goodbye to Templestay Kanbayashi Katsukane and took the limited express train from Tsuruoka to Akita, where I left my luggage at the hotel and then spontaneously decided to visit the village of Kakunodate, a 45 minute ride with the Akita Shinkansen. I spent the afternoon there and returned after dark for a few more pictures of nighttime Akita.
