Narrabri is cotton growing town, it’s cleaned & bailed at local gin & sometimes sold before harvest . Also produces , beef, sheep,(wool) wheat, & other cereal crops. Also here is the radio telescopes which listen for space noise but do not transmit .It was built in 1961 but only it’s basic structure has remained unchanged . The telescope is ten thousand times more sensitive than when commissioned in 1961 after the surface, control system, focus cabin, receivers , computers & cabling been upgraded to keep the telescope current . A cool fact is the telescope is so sensitive that a mobile phone transmission from Pluto would be considered. A really strong signal.Weiterlesen
