    Narrabri is cotton growing town, it’s cleaned & bailed at local gin & sometimes sold before harvest . Also produces , beef, sheep,(wool) wheat, & other cereal crops. Also here is the radio telescopes which listen for space noise but do not transmit .It was built in 1961 but only it’s basic structure has remained unchanged . The telescope is ten thousand times more sensitive than when commissioned in 1961 after the surface, control system, focus cabin, receivers , computers & cabling been upgraded to keep the telescope current . A cool fact is the telescope is so sensitive that a mobile phone transmission from Pluto would be considered. A really strong signal.Read more

    Well we’re on our way st last. Stopping over night in Inverell Showgrounds. Next stop tomorrow is NARRABRI . Lasagne cooking nicely , now time for a nice shower & cold drink. Frangipani flower, gorgeous with amazing perfume , Debbies favourite.Read more

  • Kyogle NSW

    Hopped over the boarder into NSW to visit Shane’s mum before we head off again. Kyogle was once beef cattle & logging town, cedar getters once coming for Red Cedar. Sadly that’s no longer but the beef cattle still continue. Kyogle nicknamed BUSH TURKEY Country, due to large amounts of them or so the story goes .population around 4000.Read more

    Getting every last thing sorted before we head to Kyogle NSW to see Shane’s mum . Had morning stroll & coffee stop, could get used to this. 👍
