• Day 4: Florence

    March 23 in Italy ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

We started off Day 4 two ways:
—Lauren/Jess/Richie went on a 7 mile run along the river!
—Alivia/Brenna walked and got pistachio croissants and espressos + did some street shopping (Alivia got the most gorgeous brown leather purse)!

Then we all met up for sandwiches back at our fav sandwich shop I' Girone De' Ghiotti since we all wanted to try more of their sandwich flavors (and Jess tried a new cafe)! After lunch, we stopped at a cute little wine window where we got limoncello spritz’s :)

Then, we walked over to our AMAZING cooking class!! This was one of the best experiences ever, the rooftop views of Florence were incredible. We had an amazing Sicilian chef teaching us and such a fun group of people in the class. We handmade bruschetta, pasta, and tiramasu (while drinking unlimited wine)! We then ate our meal all together on the rooftop at sunset. We learned so much and had the BEST time!

Lastly we stopped at a bookshop wine bar called Oratio, then for gelato/affogatos at Barroccino, and then for a last glass of wine on a heated patio at Vino Pane e Salame. We’re so sad to leave Florence & Lauren and Richie (as they go to Austria from here), but we’re so excited to head back to Rome and explore more there!

PS. The cooking class pictures aren’t loading clearly on my phone, so I added screenshots of all the photos we took haha. Alivia/jess can post some individuals so you can see them better :)
