    Brussels Day 1

    Our night was amazing - we are LOVING Brussels!!

    1.) Saw the famous Mannaken Pis statue (dressed up for Christmas which is so fun)

    2.) Had dinner at “NuetnigEnough” - i had the puff pasty pie and classic “Brussels Frites (fries).” Such a cute small restaurant, only ~8 tables, very friendly staff and delicious food :)

    3.) Then had Belgian beer at La Port Noir which used to be the kitchen for a monestary! Such a cool place and loved my cherry sour beer.

    4.) Ended the night with a (surprise) lightshow in Grand Place, followed by “Gluhwein” (mulled red wine) and the Christmas Market right by our cute AirBnb ✨    Read more

    Started our second morning with a short walk to get Belgian Chocolate Croissants with coffee! Then got on the metro to The Atonium for lunch in the panoramic restaurant which was delicious traditional French food 🤩Read more

    Brussles Day 2

    We walked around the city after lunch, and its common to sit outside at patios to drink/eat even when it’s cold out…so we joined the fun with some warm alcoholic coffee at this Italian cocktail place! Then had dinner at a small restaurant by our Airbnb that is known for their beer - had the most fun and friendly servers at both places. Ended the night at a fun bar talking with some people from London, and got Belgian McDonald’s before heading home :)Read more

    Short update this morning, we woke up and got some breakfast at a cute cafe and did some last day shopping in Brussels. Then boarded the ~1 hour train to Paris!

    Paris Day 1

    Settling in to Paris today!! Had some espresso at our AirBnb and then headed out to walk around, sit outside for a cocktail, and then had a boat tour on the Seine where we saw so many beautiful things (including the Eiffel Tower and the rennovation of Notre Dame). Ended with a dinner of steak frites at this cute restaurant and a drink at a bar near our place!!Read more

    Paris Day 2

    Late update today!

    Started the morning at a super cute cafe with croissants and cappucinos, then travelled ~1hr via train to the Chateau de Versailles!! So beautiful - have so so many pictures from it.

    Then we made our way back into the city and headed to Septime, the 24th best restaurant in the world, for a Michelin star 7-course food and wine tasting menu which was INCREDIBLE. We had a server who was surprisingly from Indiana which was a nice change! Ended the night at Bluebird, a cocktail bar recommendation from our Septime server.    Read more

    Paris Day 3

    Started today with an amazing visit to The Basilica with beautiful views of the sunrise over Paris! Then walked around Montmarte, a cute local shopping area, before heading to lunch. Then went to Mousée d’Orsay (art museum) and saw Starry Night, as well as walked around the grounds of The Louvre.

    Finally, got some amazing French dinner of Escargot (which was surprisingly delicious), Cheese Board & Bread, and French Onion Soup before heading over to see the Eiffel Towert light up! Ended the night a bar by our place that was recommended by the Schlag’s (Bar Demory!) We are LOVING this trip so far 🥺🥰    Read more

    Paris Day 4

    Started off day 4 with some delicious crepes and coffee, then saw the other side of the Eiffel Tower!! Then walked our way to Arc de Triumph and did some shopping at Champs-Elysées before grabbing lunch. Later, we headed to the Latin District for dinner (and stopped at an Italian wine bar where the nice waitor brought me a giant teddy bear lol) before heading to see the Moulin Rouge!! Such a crazy, fun show with lots of champagne!Read more

    Lyon Day 1

    We left Paris and headed to our final destination, Lyon! Getting to the train was a little hectic but the ride there was a nice break. Once we arrived, we got to our Air BnB which is in a really cool old building by one of the rivers, and had some lunch at a cute cafe (traditional “Gallettes” which are like savory crepes - so good).

    Then, we got picked up for our wine tour! Our tour guide was so great and we got to see two vineyards/local wineries. Learned sooo much about wine. We headed back for dinner (squid ink risotto with bread) then ended with a walk around the Lyon town center!    Read more

    Lyon Day 2

    We started off Lyon Day 2 by walking across one of the rivers to a big food market where we got baguettes, cheese, and pastries! Then walked to 2 of Lyon’s most famous churches, the second being Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourvière, which was STUNNING. We then got some vin chaud (hot mulled wine) and walked through some of the Christmas markets.

    We ended our day with dinner of a Raclette (cheese that you melt at the table with meat and bread) and then the Fete Des Lumieres, which is the famous Lyon Festival of Lights! Didnt take many pictures but it was such a fun way to end our trip. We couldn’t believe how many steps we got/stairs we climbed on this day lol.    Read more

    Made it through security in Lyon (bright & early!) Hoping for good travels today. Also so happy to have fresh fruit and a good ol starbucks latte at the airport lol. So sad to be leaving :(
