  • Dublin (Day 1, Part 1)

    November 6, 2025 in Ireland ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

We landed in Dublin around 6am, ahead of schedule! Had the nicest flight attendants and uber driver so loving the people here right away :)

After checking in to our hotel, we grabbed some coffee/breakfast then started exploring the area!

We first saw the Molly Malone statue, then walked to Trinity College and went to “The Book of Kells Experience”. None of us knew anything about the book of Kells so it was really cool to learn about, and we got to see the gorgeous old “Long Room” library!

Then walked to Graffton Street where we walked, shopped, and got some fun treats before ending at St Stephen’s Green Park :) Now back to the hotel for a quick nap!

  • Dublin (Day 1, Part 2)

    November 6, 2025 in Ireland ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

After a nice afternoon nap, we got ready for our night! We started off with an amazing dinner at Gallaghers Boxty House where we got some traditional Irish food, yummy drinks, and birthday dessert! Our serve Mike was awesome and told us to try his favorite pub - Darkey Kelly’s in the Temple Bar area.

We then ended up having the most amazing night at Darkey Kelly’s! We made friends with the band who were amazing playing traditional Irish music all night, and they sang me Happy Birthday (mashed with Rattlin’ Bog)🥰

We also made friends with the bartender Mo, two fabulous women Annika (from Sweden) and Henrika (from Finland), a few guys from France, and of course some Dubliners. Everyone ended up dancing together, buying each other rounds, and we had the most fun night all together! It was the best birthday I could’ve asked for!! We walked home, got some late night bites, and went to bed :)

This morning we all slept in and took our time getting ready, then walked and found a cafe called Joy of Chá for brunch which was SO good and had delicious flavored hot chocolate!

Next we toured Dublin Castle, Christ Church, and St. Patrick’s Church before doing some shopping at George’s Street Arcade and the mall (Stephen Green Shopping Center).

Next we made our way to the famous Guinness Storehouse for the Guinness Tour, where we got to make a pint of Guinness with our faces on it, then go up to the Gravity Rooftop Bar for a free pint (Kaitlyn and I failed to split the “G”, but Brianna was close!)

Then we went to The Brazen Head for dinner, Ireland’s oldest pub - thanks Breanne for the rec :) Finally, ended our night with a sweet treat at Bubble Waffle Factory before heading back home

  • Dublin (Day 3)

    November 8, 2025 in Ireland ⋅ ☁️ 7 °C

Today was a tour day! We started bright and early to meet our tour group at the bus, randomly stopped at the Barack Obama gas station haha

Then we arrived at our first stop, the Cliffs of Moher! It was a BEAUTIFUL view, so cool how the farmland meets the ocean :) We also stopped at “The Burren” for a quick photo stop of this really cool rocky terrain overlooking the ocean.

Then we made our way to the coastal city of Galway where we explored the city, did some shopping, and went to a Christmas Market!

We headed back to Dublin and had a delicious traditional Irish dinner at John O’Dwyers - beef stew, cobble, etc. Then, we ended our night back at our favorite pub from the other night Darkey Kelly’s (and even got our favorite bartender Mo to take a pic with us)!

We are SO sad to leave Dublin, but excited for Scotland ✈️☁️

  • Edinburgh (Day 4)

    November 9, 2025 in Scotland ⋅ 🌧 11 °C

This morning we flew from Dublin, Ireland to Edinburg, Scotland!

We arrived to our hotel which is at the heart of Grassmarket and the famous Victoria Street, which is SO cute, and the inspiration for Diagon Alley! We explored and shopped around before grabbing lunch at Bertie’s Fish & Chips. We tried their famous Battered Haddock & Chips, and Scottish “Irn Bru” soda :)

Then we walked along the Royal Mile to Calton Hill where we saw a gorgeous view overlooking the city! We then did some more shopping on Cockburn Street before heading back to the hotel.

Last, we had an amazing dinner at The Witchery which is a luxury restaurant hidden in a collection of historic buildings right next to Edinburgh Castle. It was beautiful inside, and delicious!! We ended the night watching Harry Potter (since so much of it was inspired by Scotland) to rest up for a tour day tomorrow. We love it here so far!

    November 10, 2025 in Scotland ⋅ 🌧 5 °C

Today we started off bright an early for our tour to the Scottish Highlands!

We boarded the bus with our amazing tour guide Brian, then stopped at a cute farm store for coffee and breakfast where you can sit and watch the sheep!

Then we took a GORGEOUS drive through the hills/mountains, valleys, rivers, and lakes of Scotland with lots of picture stops along the way. Brian made learning about all the scottish history very fun. Outlander fans were in heaven (@mom you would’ve loved it! We also stopped for lunch at a mountain base camp which was fun.

Then we arrived at our destination - Loch Ness! We lucked out with gorgeous weather for a beautiful sunset boat tour across Loch Ness, and learned about the legends of Nessie (the Loch Ness Monster). Per our tour guide’s recommendation, we got whiskey hot chocolates on the boat and chatted with some of the friends we met along the way.

After driving back to Edinburgh, we grabbed dinner at the local Scottish pub next to our hotel, and now are settling in to watch Harry Potter after our long tour! Such an amazing day :)
