Lake Towada and Lunch

Everyone arrived at Lake Towada and visited the Statue of Kotaro Takamura before lunch.

Kotaro Takamura was a prominent Japanese sculptor, poet, and essayist who lived from 1883 to 1956. He was a leading figure in the modern Japanese art world and studied Western art in the United States, England, and France.

The bronze statue was created in 1953 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Towada National Park.Read more
