Day 39: Budapest, Hungary

Today we travelled a total of 5 hours by train (there and back) to go visit Budapest. When planning the trip, we originally wanted to stay there a few nights, but we opted for Austria instead. As the last train was at 7, we didn't have much time so we spent the day at the Széchenyi Thermal Baths and it was amazing.

All three outdoor baths are at different temperatures, but the coldest is about 22 degrees Celsius so you can imagine how hot they are. One of them has a strong whirlpool that the minute you step into it, it drags you right in and the indoor baths have healing minerals.

It's too bad we couldn't see more as we heard from so many people that it's such a unique city. Next time (and when I visit the amazing baths again).Læs mere
