The Doge's Palace

This place is simply amazing. It was the seat of the Council of 10 (CX) which looked after the political and financial affairs of Venice.

At one time Venice was the richest city state in the world controlling the salt trade and acting as middlemen for so much commerce

It also is home to the famous Bridge of Sighs so called because walking across this bridge to the prison was the last view that prisoners had of the outside world before being locked away.Læs mere
