These simple wooden walkways are helpful to get through swampy areas… BUT they are incredibly slippery when wet! I was being careful and I slipped so many times and fell at least twice today. Yikes!

I stopped here for lunch and it was quite beautiful! There were many salamanders in the water too, which was fun to discover/watch!

Without trying to look to hard I could see several dozen salamanders in the pond during lunch. They were fun to watch!

I encountered 3 bears on trail today at dusk. Mother bear and two cubs. I made loud sounds and they got scared. It’s amazing how quickly they can climb up a tree- which is what both cubs did atもっと詳しく
