Let's go to Europe

0430 start for a taxi ride to the airport. Found the staff check-in area and were allocated seats straight away.

Flight to Brussels was good. Food, G&TS and a few movies. Landed in Brussels at 1245.

Attempted a train journey to the city without internet which was a mistake. Should have organised this before departing Dubai.

Checked into the hotel around 1500 and then went exploring the Grand Place. Was very true opening for Lea. Her first real European city other than London. Lots of people and things to see.

Had a beer just off the main part of the Grand Place and then went back to the hotel to get changed to come out again to see the Grand Place at night. Managed to catch the awesome light show.

Belgian waffles fruit dinner and then back to the hotel to sleep as we see both knackered. New Year's Eve tomorrow!Read more
