After an early morning visit to the bird hide, we headed towards Mata Mata.
Auchterlonie is Old Irish for a glade. Ruins of the hut of the "guards" of the boreholes along Auob River.
Went for a morning drive and spent the rest of the day on our stoep overlooking the Auob River. Had a refreshing swim in the Mata Mata pool.
Joined the others at Matopi Camp 2 and set off for Mabuasehube. A lot of burnt veld, but surprisingly the bird life is abundant.
