    Visiting Edinburgh felt like hopping into a time machine. The city’s history is everywhere, from the towering castle to the shadowy closes. For a moment, I thought I had gone back to the 16th century. Then I remembered: back then, I’d have been standing at numerous witchhunt trials for: rolling my eyes at men, or talking back to them, or staring at them in a certain way, or all of the above. Thank goodness I am to be alive in an era where I can voice my opinions without worrying about getting dunked in a river. Edinburgh’s past is fascinating—but I’m glad to just be a visitor to it, and not a permanent resident from 400 years ago.Lue lisää
