    Mosques in Sharm el sheikh

    5 mars 2024, Egypte ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

This morning when i stepped out of my hotel I realized that I’ve forgotten how real sunshine felt like on my skin. Having grown up in Tropics or a city with ample sun all year round, i never understood Europeans obsession with sunlight but now that i live in London i certainly understand. First day in Egypt was letting me relive all those sunny memories. Today was like playing mosque bingo, i can say ive visited all the mosques in Sharm today. Also i really wanted to try wearing a Hijab which i did today so i was really happyEn savoir plus

  • Luxor: valley of the kings

    8 mars 2024, Egypte ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

As the golden sun rose over Luxor, I embarked on a journey to the legendary Valley of the Kings. Stepping onto the sacred grounds, the air thick with history, I was awestruck by the grandeur of the ancient tombs carved into the desert cliffs. Each step felt like a passage through time, as I marveled at the vibrant colors still preserved on the walls despite being created at the dawn of human civilization. Exploring the intricate hieroglyphs and majestic chambers where pharaohs once rested, I stood before the imposing facade of Tutankhamun's tomb. The hues of blue, red, and gold danced before my eyes, a testament to the skill of ancient artisans. As the day drew to a close, I left with a profound sense of reverence for the timeless legacy of Egypt's pharaohs, etched into the very fabric of the Valley of the Kings.En savoir plus

  • Luxor: Karnak/Queen hatshepsut temple

    8 mars 2024, Egypte ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Today, I embarked on a journey to the Karnak Temple and the Temple of Queen hatshepsut. I was surrounded by the echoes of ancient rituals and historical significance. the Hypostyle Hall, one of the main reason i chose Egypt, left me breathless – the first ever religious building of a human civilization. Its towering columns, adorned with intricate hieroglyphs, stood as a testament to human ingenuity and spiritual devotion. Later, at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the elegant terraces and hieroglyphic narratives provided a glimpse into the powerful reign of the female pharaoh. The juxtaposition of these two remarkable sites underscored the evolution of religious expression, with the Hypostyle Hall standing tall as the inaugural masterpiece of human religious construction.En savoir plus

  • Napping on the River Nile

    8 mars 2024, Egypte ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Caught some much-needed sleep on the Nile River today. Exhausted from the hectic trip schedule, the boat provided a welcomed respite. Drifting off to sleep on the very river that kickstarted human civilization felt oddly ironic, a serene contrast to the buzzing energy of ancient history that surrounded me. The gentle sway of the boat and the ancient waters made for a perfect, albeit slightly surreal, nap spot.En savoir plus
