    Schloss schonbrunn and musikverein

    As usual i forgot to pack something so first thing in the morning i headed to DM to buy some toiletries (but i was diagnosed with ADHD last week so this justifies and explains everything) at DM i encountered a packet of pill at the pharmaceutical counter called fett blocker. I searched everywhere on the packaging and even the huge paper instructions inside but absolutely no English in sight. (I knew they didn’t like the UK but not this much) i just bought the pills for fun because by the sound of the name it sounded like it will help me lose weight. Also, my unwavering trust in German pharmaceuticals. The DM lady was annoyed that i couldn’t speak German. I headed to schonbrunn palace. It was unfortunately a huge disappointment because the exterior of the building reminded me of low budget theme park castle, although the interior was nice and i learned so much about the Austrian imperial family. Just like any other European imperial royal family, they thought they were the greatest absolute almighty. After that i walked around the inner city which made me feel like i was in fairy tale princess land and as i have expected the city was very very feminine, but very Eastern European vibes. If Germany and Hungary had a baby, it will be vienna. I know this is gonna offend Austrians because last time i met an Austrian dude and he was sooo triggered when i thought Austria is East Europe. Anyway i finished the day with Mozart / vivaldi concert in Musikverein. And ended the day with Japanese food.Читать далее

    Schloss belvedere and city hall

    I wasn’t planning on having any Wiener cuisine because i knew exactly how it would taste, but i thought it was a bit disrespectful to just fill my entire trip with asian food so i tried schnitzel and yes i was right, i went to the highest rated resto in town and it tasted exactly how i expected it to be: very insipid like most German/British/Northern European food. After that i headed to the Belvedere palace to finally see the kiss by klimt and it was hands down one of the best experiences i had in Europe. With every turn in the corner i shouted(in my mind) “oh my god i really wanted to see this in real life!!”
    The very first thought that came into my mind when i saw the kiss was “the first person that immediately comes into the mind when you see the painting is who you truly care for”. I was so lost into the painting admiring it for a really long time standing in front of the painting that i didn’t even realise a stranger was calling me, after a few calls i said yea? And he asked if i can take a photo of him and his gf in front of the painting. I said “of course!” And when i started adjusting the angle, they started fully making out in front of the painting. It was awkward because there were hundreds of people around and i felt a bit uncomfortable filming them. Anyway after that i walked around the beautiful city and i came across its city hall which was hands down the most beautiful building i have seen in Europe. While wandering around the Christmas market in front of the city hall i wondered, “unlike london, Vienna is so beautiful, safe, have public toilets, best public transportation i have experienced in Europe, no VAT in restaurants, no filth or craziness in streets, but why do i miss london so much?” And till now i cannot figure out why.
    I ended the day with korean food in a restaurant i wanted to try out so much but it was fully booked and the second resto was also super full (which is very understandable considering what i experienced on lunch) but i managed to get a seat and had one of my fav food 😆    Читать далее
