Vienna

I wasn’t planning on having any Wiener cuisine because i knew exactly how it would taste, but i thought it was a bit disrespectful to just fill my entire trip with asian food so i tried schnitzel and yes i was right, i went to the highest rated resto in town and it tasted exactly how i expected it to be: very insipid like most German/British/Northern European food. After that i headed to the Belvedere palace to finally see the kiss by klimt and it was hands down one of the best experiences i had in Europe. With every turn in the corner i shouted(in my mind) “oh my god i really wanted to see this in real life!!”
The very first thought that came into my mind when i saw the kiss was “the first person that immediately comes into the mind when you see the painting is who you truly care for”. I was so lost into the painting admiring it for a really long time standing in front of the painting that i didn’t even realise a stranger was calling me, after a few calls i said yea? And he asked if i can take a photo of him and his gf in front of the painting. I said “of course!” And when i started adjusting the angle, they started fully making out in front of the painting. It was awkward because there were hundreds of people around and i felt a bit uncomfortable filming them. Anyway after that i walked around the beautiful city and i came across its city hall which was hands down the most beautiful building i have seen in Europe. While wandering around the Christmas market in front of the city hall i wondered, “unlike london, Vienna is so beautiful, safe, have public toilets, best public transportation i have experienced in Europe, no VAT in restaurants, no filth or craziness in streets, but why do i miss london so much?” And till now i cannot figure out why.
I ended the day with korean food in a restaurant i wanted to try out so much but it was fully booked and the second resto was also super full (which is very understandable considering what i experienced on lunch) but i managed to get a seat and had one of my fav food 😆Read more
