CAMOOWEAL

After saying good bye to our new friend Franz we left our camp and arrived in Camooweal mid morning and had a look around. We called into the supermarket/Post office and bought some bread. The lady behind the counter told us that the closure of the free camping had nothing to do with the towns people, it was all instigated by the council in Mt Isa, and they were not happy about it at all. We visited the Drovers camp museum which is small but very interesting. After filling up we headed off crossed into NT and spent the night at Avon Downs police station rest area.Leer más
