Londonderry (Derry), Northern Ireland

Today we left Donegal and travelled through Strabane, Omagh, Cookstown, Drumahoe and onto Londonderry (Derry). We stopped at the Beaghmore stone circles which were excavated from a bog in 1930. The stones are believed to be associated with earlier burial cairns. The breeze was blowing and the rain was coming down, we were ill prepared for the 9° temperature, so took a couple of hasty photos and jumped back in the car.
