    Long day started out sketchy when a storm rolled through OKC and knocked out the power. We literally left in the dark! Luckily for Hank, since he is not on this trip, it was restored about 11 hours later.

    25+ miles this morning exploring Indianapolis by bike. Rode on the Cultural Trail through the city, went north on the White River Wapahani Trail, caught the Central Canal Towpath, then returned via the Monon Rail Trail. I enjoyed a leisurely pace while exploring what the city has to offer.Read more

    Loveland, Ohio

    After three days of conferencing, it was nice to get back on the bike. After a rainy lunch at the Findley Market in Cincinnati, Mother Nature cut us some slack by stopping the rain before we arrived in Loveland. Our hotel is right on the Little Miami Rail Trail, so after unloading the car, we both took off for some afternoon exercise!

    More Little Miami Trail

    23 mile ride this morning, this time heading south on the Little Miami. This is probably one of the nicest trails I have ridden. Beautifully maintained, completely enclosed by trees, and it seems to have a bar or restaurant on the trail in every town! Trail designers should take that to heart.Read more

    Wandering through Ohio

    Last ride of the trip was a wet and humid 33 mile jaunt. Again, the trails have been incredibly scenic and beautiful. I am really enjoying the history lessons as I explore. Once I got to Yellow Springs, I enjoyed a pastry and coffee before the return trip.

    Evening in St. Louis before we head home required a trip to the top of the Gateway Arch, then far too much meat for dinner. Even Kate had a plate of ribs! The diet resumes tomorrow night.
