The Alps. Day 1

Left Thonon just after 6am. beautiful city but very hot. 25km today with 1200m elevation.
Managed to hang with Allen until 3pm. Heat and elevation slowed us up a bit.
Currently holed up with a lurking thunderstorm. Even hail. pulled the pin once we found a camp. Good spot but sharing with some cows.
hopefully Allen finds a good site in time. He might be more exposed.
Great villages and scenery. Heat the biggest issue. At least 34.Read more
