Canberra Balloon Festival 2025

It was a 6am rise to find out online if the balloons were flying today. It was worth it, as it was a yes! The last 2 days flights being cancelled due to wind. We grabbed thermal coffee cups and Stuart headed us down to Lake Burley Griffin. What a fabulous site at dawn. After a slow start, they all took gracefully to the sky. It was a great spectacle to witness, and we felt so lucky to be in Canberra this week. We were so glad the weather was on our side.Read more

Open top bus tours around the city today seeing the sites. Shopping on 5th Avenue. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge. Drinks at Warren Peace and dinner at Serafina on Broadway. Taxi back to hotel
