    Drove up via overnight stops in Lancaster and Cumnock. Wonderful drive through deep glens and besie side Loch Lomond. Walked along waterfront this morning and met Iain, the Captain of Glen Etivere which we're sailing out on tomorrow afternoon.

    Sun comes out and we've met our group of fellow travelers in the Colmba Hotel on the quay in Oban. Meet Captain Ian, Engineer Andy, Purser Darren and Chef Michael (from Ireland).
    Mix of people from New York, Vermont, Nebraska, Switzerland and UK. - names etcto follow. ull steam ahead to leeward side of xxx for the evening stop over. Calm seas here but stiff wind. Excelent first dinner onboard and a convivial atmosphere. Beds firm but slept pretty well considering. Port forward cabin #5.Read more
