Old York Town

What an unexpected but amazing place to visit. Old York Town is within the medieval stone walls of the city. It's streets are a labyrinth of cobbled streets all vibrant with colour.
Shambles St is one of the oldest in the country featuring preserved medieval buildings, some dating back as far as the 14th century. The street is narrow, with many timber-framed buildings with jettied floors that overhang the street by several feet.
You can walk on top of the old medieval stone walls, so off we went ... more steps.
