Lake Hickory, North Carolina

Memorial Day weekend with college friends on Lake Hickory. This was the first time in the tent for me, and we're happy with it so far! Rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed the sun and the tubing and the beer. We reached the milestone of my first time shotgunning a beer (can it be considered shotgunning if I had to stop 4 times?), and the ex-fireman LJ made a bonfire so big that so we spent the next 20 minutes hosing down everything near it, just in case. It was so hot that when Clara wanted to roast a marshmallow (standing 5 feet away from the fire and reaching towards it), LJ sprayed mist from the hose right above her to cool her off.
