Trina and I went down to the Blue Gum Forest a week early to hide some beer in the big fridge called the Grose river.
Trina dropped us of a few km from the trail head. We start walking down the fire trail to try and get use to our heavy packs, before the descent into the Grose Valley.

Finally reached the Grose River about midday. Stopped for a small bite to eat, and we were on our way to Crayfish Creek, to scout out a campsite.
Our first nights camp site at the junction of Crayfish Creek and the Grose River . Small yabbies were found in the creek. Just goes to show you how crystal clear and clean the water was.
Second night camp was in a lovely grassy spot called Little Blue Gum. The weather was so good with a clear sky and full moon I decided to sleep under the stars with my tarp stored in my snake skins.Read more
Camp 4 was spent in a great spot we found down by Govetts Creek..... Were we drank COLD BEER.
The last night before the climb out of the valley. Another great campsite with a fire that goes BANG in the night. Some camp bread and the last of the good weather.
