  • Day 4

    PEI Central Coast

    June 25, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

We started the day by travelling to Cavendish and visiting the home of Maude Lucy Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables. We saw her burial place at the nearby cemetery as well. The paths around the home were very peaceful and it’s understandable how she would like to write from this home. Her mom died when she. Was young and her grandmother raised her as her father worked in government in central Canada.

We then stopped by a nice beach typical of Central PEI with red sand and rock formations. We ended up the day in North Rustico at the Blue Mussel restaurant. The place didn’t look like very much but it was excellent. We had poutine to start, then I had lobster thermidor!!!!! And Lorette had tuna. It was exquisite. We ended dinner with potato chocolate cake, hmmm good!!

We then spent the evening in Charlottetown.
