    Nestled in the heart of London, this tranquil garden is set within the ruins of a medieval church dating back to the early 12th century. The church endured the Great Fire of London in 1666 and was later rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren, whose iconic tower still stands today. During the Blitz of 1941, the church was severely damaged, leaving only the tower and parts of the walls intact. In 1967, the City of London transformed the ruins into a public garden, which opened in 1971. Today, it serves as a peaceful oasis, blending history with nature in the bustling city.Read more
