After the last bit of dirt road and then winding roads we arrived in Mareeba - much cooler here. After refuelling in Mount Molloy Charlie noticed a tinking sound that he associated with a leaky exhaust. So we stopped to investigate and found a hairline crack in the engine pipe. So after many phone calls to Toyota and other repairers we decided it was best to get to Cairns to replace the pipe.
Sadly this would be our last night with Annette and James and enjoyed spaghetti bolognaise as our last supper. 😢Read more
