    Looks like we will be here longer than we thought so the only remedy is to find a nice hotel to stay at. We have booked into the Ingenia Caravan park (for 1 night) which is huge but extremely well equipped and maintained - busy due to school holidays.

    For the next 5 nights we are at the Hilton on the Esplanade.

    Checked into our room around lunchtime on Sunday, dinner at Ollie’s on The Waterfront then a soaking bath - bliss!

    Monday and Tuesday we explore Cairns on foot and by Tuesday afternoon the car is fixed!    Read more
