Kuranda

A day trip to Kuranda - lots of tourists due to school holidays and the P&O Pacific Encounter cruise ship being in town. The road up was slow due to stop and go sections where they are still repairing the road from the landslides from December 2023.

Walked into the Barron Gorge Falls lookout and the Wright lookout with distant views of Cairns. Lunch and window shopping - more stores seemed to be open this visit, 2 years ago it was very quiet.

At 4pm the ship departed with lots of onlookers, but the fun continued on board with the flying fox as seen in the attached video.Read more
