Sawmill Point

Stewart-Casiar highway… We joined up with Renée’s original trip plan. Originally she was biking from Prince Rupert to Whitehorse. Saw four bears, and several caribou. There was still snow on the ground for a good portion of the trip. Got hosed at the gas station in Dease Lake, price jumped 30 cents a litre from the last fill.
Stopped at Sawmill Point for the night, unfortunately the road to the campground was covered in snow, and the lake was frozen over.
The next morning some sort of beaver/otter/muskrat thing popped it’s head out of the ice right beside us.Read more
