On route to St Moritz

It's bitting cold for SA standards. We here at platform 14 and ready to board the train. We enconted the showers of blessings as the train left Genoa station for Milan. At Milan station,we learn that the rail workers were on strike, and that meant we would miss our second train to Tirano ....Fortunely, only one train to Tirano...so we jump on board! We made it into the train.As the train passed Como Lake, I noticed some snow on the mountain tops ... We got off at Tirano and got into the glasser express train ... As we got to the peak , the snow was thick, and the sight was unbelievable....Although light snow, the train just went on cutting the snow on the rails ....What a sight....when we arrived at St Moritz we walked in the snow with our bags uphill to our Hotel .It was like dancing in the snow with our bags uphill. We made it to the Hotel Walhaus ! This hotel overlooks the lake, but the lake looks like an ice field ! What a lovely sight ... never to be seen in S A ....Læs mere
