Early start with coffee & Tones best omelette , on the road towards Fort La Latte , built 1370. Cold wind today. Quiet walk to joining GR34 and view of the castle. Landscape similar to north coast Cornwall (st Agnes) pink granite under foot with heather , bracken , no trees. Exposed and wild , emerald sea , dramatic drops …(Tone was wobbly !) Cap Frehel and the heavens opened ..on with our Rab gear, hail & strong wind around the point and continuing down to Sable D’ors les pins, last hour always a struggle.
