    Campground FULL?!?!

    July 18, 2019 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 29 °C

We wanted to stay at a state park near Raton, New Mexico but it was full! The Holiday Inn Express in town was $170! We were driving to check out the Robin Hood motel for $80, but stopped at the KOA next door. $34 for a nice tent site. More than the $15 at the state park but I’m very happy! ( There were bear boxes for our good at the state park anyways 😵😵😵).Read more

    Rain and more rain!

    July 16, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

It started raining around 4 pm & hasn’t stopped, so camping was not an option. We used Hotwire and got a good deal, then carried out local pizza & beer for Mike & me, and a meatball sub for Gabi. Green chiles on pizza is yummy, especially with beer!
