Gunnison River overlook

We had no plans on where to camp on our "zero" day. We initially pulled into this city park in Montrose, CO. Free and a bathroom with running water right near a great park with an amazing river walking path. Unfortunately since they allowed 1 night free camping, there seemed to be too many unsavory elements. We checked iOverlander and saw two camping spots on some BLM land on our route and only about an hour away.

After a strenuous uphill climb thru some pretty rough roads we made it to the top and we rewarded with a campsite and million dollar views!Lue lisää
