Phonsavan

Today we have been driven here from Luang Prabang. Fair to say it is the most awful road either of us have ever been on, has taken 10.5 hrs. Being very mountainous the views were incredible and it was a great insightinto the Laotian way of life. However the potholes were continuous many times coming to a grinding halt, the bouncing constant , the Chinese lorries were over loaded and blocking the road as unable to get enough traction to climb the hills, landslides were common place as were dogs, children, cows, ducks, hens etc.
Unfortunately we have had further sight of Chinese influence in the wider world.Read more
