I have arrived in Hoi An, at last (3 flights, one delay and 7400km later )
I am happy and excited. I was longing to come back.
I took to the streets just to unwind after the hours on board and I just soaked in all the beauty😍
As I walked the narrow, lantern lit✨ streets with the smell of incense drifting in the air a sence of happiness filled me.
This is my happy place 💖

I attended mass tonight.🙏
Instead of lighting a candle🕯️ we burn incense.
80% of the mass was sung.
I feel truly blessed 😇that I can attend mass here in Vietnam, a predominantly Buddhist ⛩️country.
I have traveled on other so called Christian countries 🌍where I could not find a Catholic church ⛪to attend a mass😢Read more

Shore Club is at An Bang Beach and a comfortable walking distance from Hoi An.
I enjoyed great food and cocktails at 10 in the morning. But what the heck, I am on vacation.

It is a crispy rice flour pancake - traditionally it is filled with pork, shrimp, spring onion and bean sprouts, served with fresh green herbs and a delicious dipping sauce. You can order it without the meat.Read more

Hoi An to Hue. We bought bus tickets and to our surprise it was a semi-sleeper bus, stopping about a "100" times to pick up travelers. The short distance of 130km took almost 5 hours. What an experience.
Note: Don't choose the very back seat, you can not sit upright 😂🤣😀

Taste of Hue.
Huế is a city in central Vietnam south of Hanoi. It was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802 to 1945.
Huế Citadel is amazing - it is not big and found that 1 day in Hue was long enough to visit all the sites.Read more

La vang

Since the first moment I read about it, I wanted to visit Our Lady of La Vang - it was a dream come true.
I was not disappointed. A beautiful shrine where one can feel the love of Our Lady.
It was amidst this great suffering that the Lady of La Vang came to the people of Vietnam. The name La Vang was believed to be originated in the name of the deep forest in the central region of Vietnam (now known as Quang Tri City) where there was an abundance of a kind of trees named La’ Vang. It was also said that its name came from the Vietnamese meaning of the work “Crying Out” to denote the cries for the help of people being persecuted.
Prayer to Our Lady of La Vang.
We celebrate her feast day on the 15th of August.

We enjoyed a unique rowing boat trip and visited three caves.
A lovely buffet lunch was included and cycling to traditional villages was fun. We also visited Hoa Lu, an ancient capital, Mua Cave from where we had a stunning panoramic views of the countryside and Ngo Dong River.
