The day was spent exploring Abel Tasman National Park, famous for its golden beaches, turquoise waters, and lush native forests. The weather couldn’t have been better - clear skies and warm sun, perfect for a trek to Apple Tree Bay.
The trail was a gentle walk through dense greenery, with occasional glimpses of the sea. Apple Tree Bay, with its quiet, sandy shore and crystal-clear water inviting for a quick rest. Along the way, several curious weka made an appearance. These flightless birds seem to have no fear of people and are always on the lookout for food or shiny objects.
