Stage 4 - along the way

Not long after leaving Pamplona, we were faced with another steep incline winding up to one of the Camino’s most iconic monuments - the Hill of Forgiveness (Alto de Perdon). The tradition is that pilgrims forgive others, and ask for forgiveness for themselves, with each step up the hill.

Again, we were so lucky with the weather - we had blue skies which showed the green rolling hills and the miles of hypnotic wind turbines at their best. It was easy to see why the turbines are there too as it was very windy. In fact, inscribed on the pilgrim sculpture are the words “where the path of the wind crosses with the stars”

After that, we had a steep downhill and then it was onwards to Puente la Reina.Lue lisää
