Rainbow Mountain

After failing to get to go to Rainbow Moutain a week earlier due to a sickness bug, nothing was stopping me this time. The 4am start to get to the mountain was rough, but I was just happy I was well enough to go.

The trek to the top of the mountain started off very flat, lulling us into a false sense of security. The peak of rainbow mountian is 5036m above sea level, so when we started the incline, the altitude started to kick, making it very slow on the way up. But it was so worth it! The view from the top was stunning with rainbow mountain off to one side, red valley in the distance and a glacier behind. We also trekked to red valley which was equally as beautiful.
