Aileu - Project Montanha

We set off from Dili just after 8am for a 48km uphill ride (total over 2000m climb) from Dili to Aileu, via Dare. The road to Dare was sealed and in pretty good condition. The road deteriorated a bit beyond Dare, but was a bit more rolling rather just uphill. The last section into Aileu joined the new road from Dili and was a nice flowing downhill. It started to rain just as we hit Aileu, so we sheltered in the little market and then found our way to Project Montanha where we enjoyed a really nice lunch. We stayed the night at Project Montanha in a very nice room, and enjoyed the really great food and atmosphere.
