Obihoro Rest day

We had a lovely and restful 2 days in Nepka Hotel Obihoro. We had fun rummaging around in the huge second hand shops, amazing at all the goods in a department store and buying a few little items in the 100¥ ($1) shops. We also are heaps of great food from bakeries and restaurants. On the last night we found an Ainu restaurant run by a young lady and her mother. Both spoke some English and both had visited Australia. The young lady had returned two weeks ago after accompanying her husband to a performance of his music by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
